THE CLERICO SERVICE

Clerico is a corporate entity established for the purpose of obtaining business for barristers. Clerico would not itself be providing legal services but would agree to procure the delivery of those services by barristers at Regency Barristers Chambers. We utilise over 18 years of experience, clerking barristers throughout England and Wales.

We would endeavour to connect you to specialist barristers and advocates at Regency Barristers Chambers. Their highly efficient, and helpful, Clerks will act upon Clerico’s concise evaluation of what you require and give a clear indication to costs at the outset.

Clerico will endeavour to find a barrister suitable for your need. In the event that we are not able to then there will be no cost other than your time. At Clerico we wish to educate the public and the business community that there is a choice of legal representation which is cost efficient, transparent and easily accessible.

DIRECT ACCESS

Barristers can now act directly, without first engaging a solicitor. Thus saving on a duplication of costs. There are two routes to Direct Access:

Public Access - A member of the public or business can instruct a barrister without first consulting a solicitor. The barrister must be accredited.

Licensed Access - Access through an accredited organisation, whether the barrister is accredited or not.

THE COSTS

A barrister’s costs will be surprisingly cheaper than you’d expect. By comparison, a solicitor’s charge out rate will tend to be more.

As a profession the Bar has a very high quality of service and a low cost base, which means that it offers excellent value for money.

Clerico does not enter into referral fee arrangements.
